Job Description: You’ll be the operational backbone for a thriving Southeast Asian fusion restaurant, handling essential administrative tasks while contributing creative marketing ideas that celebrate the business’s cultural roots. This role offers the perfect blend of reliable admin work and creative expression, allowing you to directly impact daily operations while freeing the owner to focus on what they do best. You’ll work closely with the business owner, becoming their trusted right hand for everything from daily reservation management to promotional content creation.


Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $5.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week) flexible scheduling

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Provide daily reservation summaries and manage online booking systems
  • Update website content and maintain digital presence across platforms
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for business operations
  • Design promotional materials and marketing content using Canva and Photoshop
  • Update menu information for both physical displays and digital platforms
  • Handle general administrative tasks and maintain business documentation
  • Provide strategic marketing suggestions and creative input for campaigns
  • Maintain consistent communication with business owner via messaging platforms


Requirements

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Canva and Photoshop for graphic design and promotional materials
  • Experience with website content management and digital platforms
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to maintain consistent weekly schedule
  • Bonus if you have marketing knowledge and creative thinking abilities
  • It helps if you have familiarity with Southeast Asian cuisine and culture
  • Bonus if you’re based in Philippines or Malaysia with cultural understanding of the food industry
