Job Description

As an IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, and providing timely support to users through effective communication. Your expertise in troubleshooting and providing solutions for IT-related problems will be critical in maintaining productivity across all departments. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering excellent IT support and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precision.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users effectively.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers and printers.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users in utilizing IT systems proficiently.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular system updates and security checks to protect data integrity.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to IT processes and system configurations.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and provide quick resolution to queries.
  • Support remote and on-site staff with access to company network resources.
  • Manage permissions and access rights for users within the organization’s systems.
  • Participate in the testing and integration of new software applications into the existing IT environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, but not required.
  • At least two years of experience working in a technical support or IT technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to handle varied IT tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is a plus.
