The Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager, Renewable Energy to join our growing Offshore Renewable Energy Practice and collaborate closely with our United States operations.

The Manager will play a key role in supporting renewable energy clients across project development, construction, financing, accounting, and asset operations. This position requires strong experience working with multi-entity renewable energy organizations, with the ability to oversee financial reporting, project accounting, operational processes, controls, and stakeholder requirements.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated professional who can work independently while providing leadership and guidance to the team. Experience across solar and wind projects, project finance, asset management, and U.S. GAAP/IFRS environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting, financial reporting, and operational initiatives across renewable energy projects and entities

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules

  • Review project asset schedules, debt schedules, depreciation, capital expenditures, and general ledger activity

  • Prepare and review financial reporting, management reports, workpapers, and technical accounting documentation

  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements, as applicable

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders

  • Review financing schedules, debt agreements, and covenant compliance

  • Support project-level financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

  • Lead process walkthroughs, control testing, and identification of process or control gaps

  • Develop and implement process improvements to strengthen accounting and financial controls

  • Ensure vendor, treasury, and financial processes comply with established controls and segregation-of-duties requirements

  • Monitor project and operational data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to accounting and finance team members

  • Assist with renewable energy development, construction, and asset operations initiatives

  • Stay current on renewable energy industry practices, regulatory requirements, financing structures, and accounting standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, audit, or renewable energy experience

  • Experience managing or supporting multi-entity organizations, preferably within renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, or project-based businesses

  • Renewable energy experience is required; exposure to solar and wind projects is highly valued

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS

  • Experience with project accounting, financial reporting, asset accounting, or project finance

  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, processes, or accounting/finance teams

  • Strong understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, and audit requirements

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time, and work independently while meeting deadlines

  • Ability to align with U.S. hours (PST) with flexibility based on U.S. collaboration and business deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data

  • High degree of professionalism and tact when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
