Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to manage and grow our presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn development for corporate outreach and donor engagement. This is a performance-based, part-time role (20 hours per week) with potential for expansion based on results and organizational needs.

Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $7.3 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Flexible, weekly meetings on Wednesday 9:30am-11:30am Tennessee

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media calendar and consistently post and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn platforms
• Engage with online communities by reaching out to influencers, joining relevant groups, and moderating social media pages as needed
• Respond to social media inquiries and messages in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct outreach through direct messages to build connections and expand network, particularly on LinkedIn for corporate partnerships
• Create and track social media performance reports including metrics like clicks, new subscribers, and engagement rates
• Develop engaging content and compelling captions that align with current trends and viral content strategies
• Perform basic graphic design and video editing tasks for social media posts and short-form video content
• Assist with email management and other administrative tasks during idle time

Requirements

• Proven experience as a social media specialist (not just assistant-level posting and scheduling)
• Strong understanding of social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement
• Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn platforms
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills for social media content
• Excellent written communication skills for captions, responses, and outreach messages
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
• Experience working with US-based clients preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple social media accounts
