Client Overview: An innovative consulting firm with a thriving speakers bureau representing 40+ professional speakers across various industries. The company is launching a premium paid service to secure high-value speaking opportunities, media placements, and thought leadership positions for their top-tier speakers. They’re bringing previously outsourced media outreach capabilities in-house to better serve their growing speaker network.


Job Description: You’ll be the dedicated advocate for professional speakers, securing them valuable opportunities to share their expertise with wider audiences. This role combines relationship building, strategic research, and media coordination as you connect speakers with podcasts, publications, conferences, and events across North America and globally. You’ll work directly with a select group of premium speakers who are investing in additional services, making every placement you secure directly impactful to their success and visibility.


Job Highlights:

  • Hourly Rate: USD 6.00, the equivalent in your local currency
  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm EST with a 30-minute paid break
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify speaking opportunities for speakers bureau clients across North America and globally
  • Source and coordinate podcast guest appearances for assigned speakers
  • Find and secure written opportunities with publications and industry media outlets
  • Build relationships with event planners, conference organizers, and media contacts
  • Coordinate with live speaking opportunity providers for conferences and events
  • Track and report on outreach activities and successful placements
  • Maintain comprehensive database of contacts and opportunities for ongoing relationship management
  • Focus on both paid and unpaid opportunities based on individual speaker preferences and goals


Requirements:

  • Fluent English communication skills with excellent written abilities for media outreach
  • Experience in media relations, public relations, or event coordination preferred
  • Strong research capabilities and networking skills
  • Understanding of professional speaking industry landscape is a plus
  • Organized approach to managing multiple speaker portfolios simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with ability to build and maintain professional relationships remotely
  • Bonus if you have experience with podcast booking or conference coordination
  • It helps if you’re familiar with media databases or outreach tools
