The Case Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Case Management team, ensuring seamless coordination of case-related tasks, client and expert communications, and essential administrative duties. This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under deadlines. A background in law or experience in a law firm is highly valued, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate case management and administrative support ensuring smooth workflow.
Draft and distribute correspondence that clearly conveys essential case information to all relevant parties.
Maintain professional communication with clients and experts, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Coordinate schedules, appointments, travel, and accommodations to ensure smooth case progression.
Organise and maintain records in the case management system for easy access and accurate reference.
Keep internal systems updated to support effective case tracking and team collaboration.
Facilitate seamless information flow between teams and clients, reducing delays and miscommunication.
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Identify, escalate, and resolve process-related issues to maintain consistent operational standards.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations to support case tracking and team reporting.
Assist in developing and implementing administrative procedures and best practices to streamline case workflows.
Requirements
Background in law or experience working in a law firm.
Prior experience working in multicultural teams and providing services to international clients, preferably Australian lawyers.
