Job Highlights:

• Contract type: Independent Contractor
• Schedule: 20 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday 7am - 3pm (with 30 minutes paid break) is a must, the rest of the hours can be flexible

Job Description:

You’ll become the estimation expert for a successful trades business, creating the accurate project quotes that drive their growth. Working directly with the business owner, you’ll use your analytical skills and industry knowledge to develop competitive estimates that win projects and maintain healthy margins. This role offers the perfect blend of technical expertise and business impact.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed, accurate project estimates for plumbing and gas service projects
• Utilize Ground Plan software for estimation and project planning workflows
• Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements for comprehensive quotes
• Collaborate directly with the business owner on pricing strategy and estimate accuracy
• Support business development through competitive and profitable project pricing
• Maintain organized estimation records and documentation for future reference
• Analyze project outcomes to continuously improve estimation accuracy

Requirements:

• 3+ years of estimation experience, preferably in trades, construction, or related industries
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Experience with estimation software (Ground Plan preferred, or similar tools like Bluebeam)
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines consistently
• Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
• Bonus if you have plumbing, gas, or trades industry knowledge
• It helps if you’ve worked with Australian clients or understand local market conditions
