Construction Estimator

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to create accurate and competitive project estimates for residential remodeling and outdoor construction projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, reviewing blueprints and photos, and collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure high-quality, well-scoped estimates. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.

• Role Name: Construction Estimator
• Hourly Rate: $6.50
• Contract: Independent Contractor
• Schedule: 20 hours per week
• Work Arrangement: Remote
• Working Hours: Flexible, potentially 4 hours per day (EST – Maryland, USA)
• Side Note: Possibility to transition to full-time based on performance and company needs

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements from photos, measurements, and blueprints to create accurate cost estimates.
• Utilize Contractor Foreman CRM and Company Cam to manage project information and documentation.
• Review and interpret leads from platforms such as Home Depot Pro Referral and Building Connected.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project scopes and company standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs and labor rates in the construction industry.
• Create estimates for kitchen and bathroom remodels, flooring installations, landscaping, and hardscape projects.
• Locate and build relationships with subcontractors to support project completion.
• Prepare detailed bid requests for subcontractors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential remodeling.
• Proficiency with Contractor Foreman CRM, Company Cam, and 3D estimating software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using lead generation platforms such as Home Depot Pro Referral and Building Connected.
