Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM Pacific Time

Salary: $600 per month

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Architectural Designer to support residential projects including remodels, additions, and small home designs. The ideal candidate has experience preparing accurate technical drawings, construction documentation, and conceptual design layouts using CAD software. Deliverables will include PDF files for client review and DWG files for project development. Experience with Revit is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design and construction drawings for remodels, additions, and small residential projects.
• Prepare deliverables in both PDF and DWG formats for internal review and next-phase handoffs.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Revise plans and drawings based on feedback or field changes.
• Conduct code and zoning research to ensure design compliance.
• Maintain organized project documentation and version control of design files.
• Support 3D visualization and rendering when applicable.
• Contribute creative ideas for functional and aesthetic design improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in residential design or drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software (required).
• Familiarity with Revit is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong technical understanding of residential construction methods and building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and file management.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating past residential projects is highly preferred.
