| Duties
and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Ensures
a tidy workplace in the soil and asphalt area.

An
Asphalt Lab Technician is responsible for testing, inspecting, and analyzing
asphalt and related construction materials to ensure they meet quality
standards and specifications. The role involves laboratory work,testing loose
asphalt samples,aggregate and bitumen tests. data recording, and supporting
construction projects tests like asphalt sampling and rate of applicationn

Examines
and prepares soil and asphalt samples for testing.

Issues
testing instructions to technicians and assistant technicians.

Carries
out tests and checks the test results.
-
Calculates
and checks the test results and assists in the preparation of the report.

Reviews
final test reports as directed by the Head of Physical and Mechanical
Department.

Maintains
and calibrates test equipment in his department.
-
Carries
out sampling, and testing on site.
-
Assists
in the training of Technicians and Assistant Technicians.

Co-operation and Contact
With the Quality Manager, Quality officers,
and auditors from the company and with other auditors as directed by the Head
of Physical and Mechanical Department.
Normally with other staff in site
Laboratories.
Occasionally with other staff in the
Laboratories Group and other Divisions
With clients, suppliers and
subcontractors at all levels, as directed by the Head of Physical and
Mechanical Department.

Qualifications
·
Education and Experience :
One year related experience in laboratory testing of
construction materials. Good knowledge of ISO 9001 standards requirements and
/ or of the Quality Management system adopted in the company.

Certificates and
Licenses:
ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade 1

2- Language
Ability: (Arabic / English)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups
of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

3- Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as
Probability and statistical inference, and
Fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and Trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as
Fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
practical situations.

4- Reasoning
Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to Interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
