Job Description

The upcoming Crowne Plaza & Holiday Inn Zirakpur marks an exciting new chapter in hospitality for the region. Strategically located along the Chandigarh–Ambala Highway, the cluster hotel will bring together 335 well-appointed rooms across two renowned brands — 149 rooms at Crowne Plaza and 186 rooms at Holiday Inn, Zirakpur.

The cluster will offer a diverse range of F&B experiences, along with a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, and extensive banqueting facilities, including approximately 1,00,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. With excellent connectivity to Chandigarh and key destinations across North India, it will be well-positioned to cater to business and leisure travelers, while offering versatile spaces for conferences, weddings, and social celebrations.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Bottom line? We’re looking for a new Cluster Director of Finance and Business Support comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. In return, we’ll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task

● Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal

● Maximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordingly

● Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution

● Supervising a number of clerical accounting employees across a range of functions – from Accounts Payable to Purchasing and Payroll.

What We need from you:

● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance  

● 4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least one year in a Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience 

● Knowledge of accounting management duties e.g., negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc

● Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred  

● Must speak local language(s)

● Other languages beneficial
