Job Description

Responsibilities

Boiler Commissioning

Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities of Boiler systems.
Review commissioning procedures, checklists, P&IDs, engineering drawings, and vendor manuals.
Carry out system flushing, steam blowing, hydro tests, leak tests, and functional checks.
Commission pressure parts, fuel firing systems, APH, fans, soot blowers, coal firing systems, and associated auxiliaries.
Monitor boiler light-up activities, steam generation, synchronization support, and load ramp-up.
Analyze commissioning parameters and resolve operational issues during startup.
Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and cross-functional teams for smooth commissioning execution.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Ash Handling Plant (AHP) Commissioning

Commission Dry Ash, Bottom Ash, Fly Ash, HCSD/Lean Slurry systems, and Ash Water Recovery systems.
Perform testing and commissioning of ash handling equipment such as:
- Pneumatic Conveying Systems
- Ash Silos
- Vacuum/Pressure Conveying Systems
- Ash Conditioners
- Slurry Disposal Systems
- Hydro Ejectors and Pumps
Verify equipment healthiness and readiness prior to commissioning.
Conduct interlock checks, loop checks, functional testing, and performance trials.
Troubleshoot operational issues related to ash conveying, pumping, and disposal systems.
Ensure ash evacuation systems meet design and environmental compliance requirements.

Project Coordination & Safety

Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, and Operations teams during commissioning activities.
Track commissioning schedules and highlight critical issues impacting project timelines.
Prepare commissioning reports, punch point closure reports, and startup documentation.
Ensure strict implementation of PTW, LOTO, HIRA, and commissioning safety procedures.
Participate in startup reviews and reliability improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Diploma/ BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical.

Exp - 6-12 Years.
