In this role, you will:
Contribute to moderately complex projects, managing time effectively to meet targets.

Monitor and complete periodic reviews, including the validation master plan for automation engineering.

Take responsibility for routine and preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Key Responsibilities Automation Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.
Develop and modify control modules, equipment modules, phases, and batch logic.
Design and maintain DeltaV operator graphics, alarms, trends, and reports.
Support DCS upgrades, migrations, patch management, and lifecycle activities.
Perform system backups, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
Troubleshoot automation system failures and implement corrective actions.
Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, and plant shutdown activities.
Optimize control strategies to improve process performance, quality, and productivity.
Integrate DeltaV systems with PLCs, SCADA, Historians, and third-party systems.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and automation standards.
Instrumentation Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical instruments, and control valves.
Review and update instrument datasheets, loop drawings, P&IDs, and instrument index documents.
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams for instrument reliability improvements.
Diagnose communication issues related to HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
Support control valve diagnostics and performance assessment.
Participate in plant projects involving instrumentation and automation upgrades.
Ensure instrumentation systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Manage instrument spares, technical specifications, and vendor interactions.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Relevant pharmaceutical experience
Understanding of programming and proficiency in at least one language
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Ability to train others effectively
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Automation & Instrumentation.
