Job Description – Shift In-Charge – Operations

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shift In-Charge – Operations to manage plant operations, shift manpower, equipment performance, and coordination with maintenance and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plant operations and ensure smooth shift functioning.
  
• Handle and deploy shift manpower as per operational requirements.
  
• Monitor plant activities and achieve daily operational targets.
  
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Safety, and other departments.
  
• Monitor equipment performance and support breakdown/maintenance activities.
  
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  
• Prepare shift reports and ensure proper shift handover.
  
• Supervise operators, technicians, and contract manpower.
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in plant/industrial operations.
  
• Strong experience in end-to-end plant operations.
  
• Good knowledge of maintenance and breakdown coordination.
  
• Experience in manpower handling and shift management.
  
• Candidates from Metal, Steel, Mining, Heavy Machinery Manufacturing, Construction, or Engineering industries preferred.
  
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and relocate to Visakhapatnam.
