We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Manager to join our hospitality team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the successful execution of all banquet and group events while maintaining the highest standards of service, presentation, and operational efficiency. You will lead a dedicated banquet team through clear communication, strategic operational planning, and inspirational service leadership to deliver memorable guest experiences that reflect our commitment to excellence. Working collaboratively with Catering & Conference Services, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams, you will ensure seamless coordination and flawless event execution.
**Operational Leadership & Event Management**
Review and analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure operational accuracy, event readiness, and proper communication across all departments
Conduct pre-shift and pre-event briefings to review event timelines, service expectations, and special guest requests with clarity and enthusiasm
Monitor banquet events in progress to ensure service standards, timing, and presentation consistently meet luxury hospitality expectations
Anticipate operational challenges proactively and implement effective solutions during event execution
Ensure all banquet spaces are properly set according to event diagrams and operational specifications
**Staff Leadership & Team Development**
Train, coach, and mentor banquet team members including Supervisors, Captains, Servers, and Setup teams with a supportive and motivational approach
Develop line schedules to optimize productivity, coverage, and team efficiency while meeting guest service standards
Provide ongoing performance feedback and support professional development opportunities within the banquet team
Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive working environment aligned with organizational values
Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and commitment to service excellence
**Financial & Operational Management**
Manage banquet labor scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels while controlling overtime and labor costs
Monitor departmental supply usage including linens, equipment, and banquet service items with analytical precision
Oversee orders of needed supplies and manage inventory levels for banquet operations
Partner with leadership to support departmental revenue goals and operational efficiency
Make informed business decisions based on event requirements, operational data, and strategic objectives
Work closely with Catering & Conference Services to ensure accurate communication of event details and client expectations
Coordinate seamlessly with Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Security teams to ensure operational readiness
Serve as a visible leader during events and act as a primary point of contact for meeting planners and event hosts
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally while ensuring service recovery when needed
Foster positive relationships with clients to support repeat business and guest satisfaction
Assist other Food & Beverage departments when necessary to support organizational goals
**Service Excellence & Standards**
Ensure all banquet operations consistently reflect luxury service standards and organizational excellence
Maintain the highest levels of professionalism, presentation, and cleanliness within all banquet spaces
Demonstrate flexibility with work schedules including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Create memorable guest experiences through personalized service moments and attention to detail

**Experience**
Minimum 5 years of Food and Beverage experience in a hospitality or hotel environment
Proven experience in banquet operations, event coordination, and team leadership
Experience managing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinating complex events
Demonstrated experience with labor scheduling, inventory management, and cost control
**Domain Expertise**
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations and banquet service standards
Understanding of luxury hospitality service protocols and guest relations best practices
Knowledge of event planning, execution, and coordination processes
Familiarity with interdepartmental coordination in hospitality settings
Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards in food service environments
**Language Ability**
Fluent English language skills with the ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, safety rules, and operational procedures
Ability to write clear reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar
Capability to participate in discussions, debates, and extemporaneous communication on a variety of subjects
