Maintenance Technician

ISS is a spin-off from CIIMAR and is well funded and supported by a lead investor, which is a sizeable independent VC firm in Portugal with proven experience in successfully propelling Iberian startups into international markets.Role summary This role is for aMaintenance Technicianresponsible for ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of ISSs demonstrator production line.

You will play a key hands-on role in maintaining industrial equipment, resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting daily production activities.

Working closely with the production team, you will help ensure operational continuity, minimise downtime, and contribute to the companys growth through continuous improvement of equipment and processes.Where do you fit in You will be part of the team responsible for the operation and maintenance of ISSs demonstrator line.

Your work will directly support production activities, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

You will also contribute to the implementation of new equipment, improvements to existing systems, and the overall reliability of ISSs production infrastructure.What is the role?

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Executing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.Supporting the production team in the operation, adjustment, and improvement of equipment.Diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults and implementing effective solutions.Ensuring the proper functioning of production lines and minimising downtime.Taking on operator duties when necessary to ensure process continuity.Participating in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or process improvements.Monitoring equipment condition and reporting intervention or replacement needs.Overseeing and ensuring full compliance with maintenance and external service contracts, ensuring the quality of all interventions.Ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and industrial best practices.Recording maintenance activities and keeping technical documentation up to date.What do we need from you?
