Job Summary

The Senior Bridge & Highway Construction Engineer will lead the construction supervision of major and minor bridges, road works, and associated infrastructure. The role involves managing contractors, teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction supervision for all major/minor bridges and road works.
  • Supervise and monitor construction of all project components.
  • Prepare measurements for completed and ongoing works and verify bills for contractor/supplier payments.
  • Check line, level, and layout of construction to ensure conformity with contract specifications.
  • Propose changes in plans due to unforeseen site conditions or obstructions.
  • Assess adequacy of contractor inputs (materials, equipment, workforce, methodologies).
  • Conduct third-party inspections and certify quality of materials, plants, and supplies.
  • Ensure overall safety during bridge construction and related works.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Highway or Bridge Engineering.
  • Professional license (Chartered/Certified) to practice the profession.

Experience Requirements

  • General Work Experience: More than 15 years.
  • Specific Experience: More than 10 years in highway projects, including major/minor bridges and flyovers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in bridge and highway construction supervision.
  • Knowledge of international standards and safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage large teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
