Team Leader Medical Records Team MRT

Job Summary

The Medical Records Team (MRT) manages end-to-end operations for medical records submission, reconciliation, data accuracy, compliance, and workflow optimization. The team ensures efficiency, quality, and risk control while driving continuous improvement across all operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MRT team to ensure accurate, compliant medical documentation, manage escalations, drive process improvements, and maintain HIPAA and quality standards.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
• Optimize workflows using Lean and Kanban principles.
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and resolve operational queries.
• Track performance metrics, analyze data, and report outcomes.
• Identify and mitigate process risks to ensure smooth operations.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in medical records management, healthcare compliance, or related MRT operations
• Basic analytical skills to review claim trends and help improve processes.
• Prior experience in handling escalations and leading or supporting a team.
• Ability to mentor and train new team members
