McElhanney’s Marketing & Creative Services team is seeking a Marketing Specialist – Brand Sustainment to support firmwide brand visibility, digital performance, and marketing operations.
This role plays a key part in maintaining and strengthening McElhanney’s brand across digital platforms, campaigns, and internal marketing systems. You’ll contribute to strategic brand initiatives, digital optimization efforts, marketing analytics, and ongoing operational improvements that enhance marketing effectiveness across the organization.
Working in a collaborative environment, you’ll partner with colleagues across Energy & Resources, Cities & Communities, and Transportation & Transit sectors to ensure consistent, data-informed, and high-impact marketing delivery.
This role is a 12-month contract position and offers flexible hybrid or in‑office work, with a preference for candidates based in Vancouver or Calgary, and consideration for other BC and Alberta locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Brand Sustainment & Digital Presence
- Support execution of the firm’s Brand Sustainment Strategy across digital platforms
- Maintain and update website content, location-based profiles, and digital channels
- Coordinate and manage social media content, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Develop and maintain internal marketing resources under the Marketing Empowerment Program
- Campaigns & Digital Marketing
- Support development and sustainment of firmwide digital marketing campaigns
- Assist with ad and media coordination and tracking, including search engine and social media advertising
- Contribute to award submissions, marketing collateral, and campaign materials
- Analytics & Insights
- Use tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, RivalIQ, and SEO platforms to track performance and provide actionable insights
- Support SEO and AI-search optimization initiatives to enhance brand visibility
- Marketing Systems & Operations
- Be responsible for maintaining complex marketing team operational tools and databases
- Help strengthen reporting processes and performance metrics across marketing programs
What You’ll Bring:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, ideally within a B2B or professional services environment
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools, including WordPress (or other CMS platforms), Google Analytics (GA4), and social media management platforms
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and digital optimization practices
- Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns and supporting cross-functional initiatives
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is considered an asset
- Ability to travel occasionally and attend industry events outside of standard office hours

What Can We Offer You?
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
