The purpose of the Tendering Domestic & Export Leader is to start up the power transformers systematic exportation out of the GE VERNOVA Large Transformer factory located in Vadodara, India while growing the orders’ profitability of the domestic market. Her/his objective is to provide a profitable and cash positive portfolio of orders for LTI. She/he will be reporting to the Site Leader.

Essential Responsibilities :
The Tendering Domestic & Export Leader will have to be a change agent, able to build wide consensus around her/his purpose and objective and able to introduce with success new tools (SmartCost), new procedure and new standards. For the collective achievement of the objective, she/he will have to inspire, energize and motivate her/his direct reports and people from other functions.
Essential Responsibilities
Team
Lead the Tendering Team to provide full costing estimates and technical proposals;
Work in parallel as individual contributor in the execution of some estimates and technical proposals.
Costing·
Support her/his Team on:
technical interpretation of drawings and specifications,
quantifying materials, labor hours, design and installation requirements and define its work scope definition, cost allocation.
Definition of the cost through rigorous procedure and costing tools
Support engineering in the selection of the design based on customer specifications, industry standards, sourcing, historical data, minimum TCC and lesson learned from market exposure.
Ensure compliance to customer regional and country technical specifications for proposal work scopes
Execute with limited guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program.
Ability to look at power transformer with the eyes of customers in order to understand how this technology can contribute to generate value and how the manufacturer can take the wider stake of it.
Sales Support
Support and be a single Team with PSS community and in particular:
Share bid strategy, should cost, pricing levels analysis
Support contract negotiations.
Support LTI qualification in new Countries/ Customers
Actively participate in R-calls

Contribute in the market and competition analysis.
Coordination
Fraternize and alignment with the other LTI stakeholders in Sourcing, Manufacturing, Fulfillment in order to untap value to Customers by the cooperation.
Fraternize, learn and share good practice with peers in same function in other Units
Alignment with cost out
Work closely with the PTR Cost out community in order to integrate a maximum level of cost out in the customer offers and drive the most profitable product mix.
S&OP
Support the LTI S&OP process leading the demand definition on monthly basis.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
15 years of relevant experience in Technical Tendering and/or Commercial roles with front exposure to external Customers.
Emotional intelligence and ability to lead people.
Proven experience in managing a team.
Proven experience in commercial product export to international Customers.
Deep understanding of power transformers, physical principles, design criteria and industrial application.
