Roles and Responsibilities
Lead a team of Regional Commodity Leader & Procurement specialist for Welded structure, casting/forging and raw material Commodities
Optimize, communicate, deploy & Implement a competitive commodity Sourcing strategy for the region.
Purchase materials, products and services for Hydro projects in accordance with QCD requirements
Improve Expertise from team members
Monitor & Improve Suppliers & Sourcing performance in Operations (Total Cost of ownership, Delivery, Quality, Service level & Innovation)
Assess supplier performance in coordination with Procurement
Teamwork with Regional Commodity Buyers, Project Supply Chain Managers (PSCM’s) and Global Commodity Leaders
Take part in operational task as part of the commodity team member
Required Qualifications
Manage the Regional Commodity Leader & Procurement specialist.
Define workload planning
Contribute to define the regional sourcing strategy
Provide inputs and needs from her/his Region(s)
Take part to strategy definition under the lead of the Global Commodity Manager
Source best suppliers and develop the suppliers panels in the Region with the support of Quality insurance
Negotiate T&C/Price lists (Long Term Frame Agreement /open Purchase Orders and implement Supplier Review Management with these suppliers
Drive and lead stakeholders in his/her region for supplier improvement and development
Prepare forecast & backlog for her/his commodity
Support development of best assumptions in tendering and product activities: Price lists, costing tools, TBOMs update, Vendor list, issuance of specific RFQ if necessary
Supports risk & opportunities reviews
Mandatory
Educational Requirements
Strong technical and commercial background, technical or purchasing education, legal skills, negotiation skills,
Optional
Mechanical / Electrical Engineer or University Degree in Administration
Knowledge / Experience
Expertise in one of these 3 commodities (Welded Structure, Casting/forging or raw material)
At least 10-12 years in purchasing of technical goods
International background
Functional or Hierarchical management of a team
Behavioral And Technical Skills / Competencies
Supplier selection & relationship management
Preparing and leading negotiation with suppliers
Understanding products and using technical knowledge & skills
