The Production Engineer – PHE will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production activities of the PHE unit. This includes manpower handling, production planning, process control, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands‑on shop‑floor management, and the ability to continuously improve production processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Full ownership of PHE production activities.
- Manage and control manpower on the shop floor.
- Prepare production plans to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Execute on‑shop planning and distribute jobs to workers to enhance productivity.
- Follow up with sub‑vendors for timely receipt of job‑worked components.
- Coordinate with stores, purchase, and sales teams to ensure timely dispatch of PHE units.
- Monitor and maintain smooth internal shop planning, work allocation, and process control.
- Ensure weekly production plans are executed and units are manufactured on schedule.
- Maintain MIS and ISO documentation & drive IMS system development and sustainability at the PHE shop.
- Maintain Production On‑Time Delivery (OTD).
What Were Looking For
- Geaduate in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years in production/manufacturing, preferably in PHE or fabrication
- Possess strong knowledge of fabrication and product drawings.
- Knowledgeable in TIG, SMAW, and MIG welding processes.
- Diagnose production line issues and provide corrective recommendations.
- Provide training to workers on processes and improvements.
- Develop new processes when required (e.g., cladding, fabrication).
