About Position
Perform Basic Design, Detail Design, Calculations & Specification for Generator Electrical auxiliaries systems
Checking of final manufacturing drawings and BoM coming from Design Engineers or Suppliers
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
To understand the specification of the project, product, customer requirement, Generator operating parameters and operating sequences of Hydro power plant
Design / Specification of Generator Instrumentation - for measuring temperature, pressure, flow, Cabling and Terminal boxes, Grounding system, Condition monitoring equipment like Partial discharge, Air gap monitoring, Vibration, Shaft current and Fire protection systems
Understand and Prepare P& IDs, Technical Specifications and Drawings specifying design requirements
Manage and execute work packages with Detail Design Engineers or Contract Engineers.
Working with suppliers for defining, improving or cost out during design phase
Support to Supply chain during execution phase
Accountabilities
Execute with required Quality, within budget and lead times specified
Measurement
On time delivery, Quality, Cost (components, engg hours)
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: B. E. (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation)
At least 3 years in design of Hydro Generator auxiliary systems. Total experience desired > 5 years
Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator
Applied knowledge of Instrumentation and Electrical Engg and Standards
Experienced in preparing design specifications for components mentioned in ‘responsibilities’
Experienced in Design & Engineering Processes
Good level in ‘MS Office” Application
User Level SAP System, PLM (CORELLA)
Experienced in CAD tools preferably AUTOCAD, EPLAN and UG NX
Desired Skills
Communication, Inter-personal relationship
