As a Team Lead and Professional R&D Engineer, you will join our Simulation Team and collaborate with a group of specialists with expertise in electrical, structural, fluid-dynamics, static & kinematic simulation and tolerance analysis. Within our Technology Centre R&D community, you will contribute to a wide range of projects related to Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) in the High Voltage Product Group. In this role, you will provide focus on technical leadership by performing as well as coaching team members, ensuring high quality simulation activities across all stages of the product lifecycle—from concept development to product launch—enabling simulation driven decision-making.
How You’ll Make An Impact
You will be responsible for developing high-fidelity models (FEA, CFD, thermal, structural) to support product development.
Provides simulation support during concept design, prototyping, and product launch phases. Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and root‑cause analysis activities. Support decision-making with physics‑based evidence under various operating condition and extreme scenarios.
Prepare structured simulation reports with assumptions, methods, results, and recommendations. Create presentations for stakeholders and management. Maintain simulation documentation, model archives, and knowledge repositories.
You bring a high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn new technologies and simulation methodologies.
Promotes simulation-driven culture within the organization.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as coach team - collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality results on time.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
Master’s or PhD in engineering (Mechanical) with 8-10Yrs of total experience, with a good understanding of CFD and knowledge about material properties are desirable.
Advanced skills in numerical methods for thermodynamic simulations. Experience with software like ANSYS CFX/FLUENT, COMSOL and StarCCM+ is preferential.
Knowledge of high voltage products and CAD tools like ProE would be a plus.
Solid technical background, with hands on experience in ProE along with developing configurations for variants in ProE.
As you will be part of a global business, willingness to travel and fluency in written and spoken English is required.
Shall have strong sense of safety & integrity; ownership & responsibility; collaboration & trust.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
