2. About the Opportunity:


The Compensation Specialist plays a critical role in administering and evaluating the organizations compensation programs. This position focuses on market pricing, job architecture, and compensation structures while providing data analysis, reporting, and compliance support. The role contributes by delivering accurate analyses and recommendations that ensure fair, competitive, and compliant pay practices, partnering closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders.


3. Responsibilities:


• Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using third-party surveys and benchmarking tools

• Analyze external market data and internal pay positioning to recommend salary ranges and premiums

• Support pricing for new roles, re-leveling, reorganizations, and changes with data-backed recommendations

• Maintain benchmark job matches and assist with annual survey participation

• Support and maintain job architecture to enable consistent leveling and career progression

• Partner with HR and leaders to review job leveling for alignment with internal and external benchmarks

• Consult on job descriptions to improve clarity and alignment with job families and market matches

• Maintain and refine compensation structures to support equity, competitiveness, and growth

• Analyze internal compensation data to identify trends and opportunities

• Build and maintain compensation models, reports, and dashboards for leadership and HR

• Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations, ensuring accuracy and documentation

• Support pay equity analyses and remediation, ensuring compliance with regulations

• Assist with compensation audits, documentation, and process controls

• Support pay transparency compliance and monitor compensation-related regulatory changes

• Coordinate and execute annual compensation cycles, including planning, setup, administration, and validation

• Provide compensation guidance for hiring, promotions, and internal mobility; escalate complex cases

• Perform other duties as assigned


4. Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field

• Minimum 3 years experience in compensation or related roles

• Experience with market pricing, compensation survey analysis, job architecture, and compensation data reporting

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data presentation)

• High accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis

• Ability to travel occasionally for business needs


Preferred:

• Experience supporting job leveling and compensation structures

• Familiarity with pay equity and pay transparency requirements

• Experience with HRIS/compensation tools and dashboard/reporting software (e.g., CompAnalyst, MarketPay, Excel, Power BI)


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:


• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
