Senior Technical Assistant

Major Purpose of the Job : Responsible for Preventive and breakdown maintenance of Air Conditioning systems, DX systems, stability chambers, cold rooms, lyophilizer compressors, refrigeration skids, Chillers and other refrigeration equipment associated with QC laboratory and process equipment. Principal task and responsibilities: Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, Good Engineering Practices (GEP), and all applicable statutory laws, rules, and regulations. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of Air Conditioning (AC), HVAC, and refrigeration systems to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation. Maintain and troubleshoot DX (Direct Expansion) systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and associated controls. Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of stability chambers to maintain required temperature and humidity conditions. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of cold rooms, refrigeration units, and associated equipment used for QC laboratory and process operations. Maintain and troubleshoot lyophilizer compressors and refrigeration circuits, ensuring optimum performance and minimum downtime. Inspect, service, and troubleshoot refrigeration skids, chillers, pumps, valves, and related refrigeration equipment. Monitor operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, refrigerant levels, and compressor performance, and take corrective actions when required. Attend equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to restore equipment operation within minimum downtime. Maintain maintenance records, checklists, work orders, spare-parts requirements, and preventive maintenance schedules in accordance with site procedures. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, EHS, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, while coordinating with QC, production, engineering, and other relevant departments. Enforce safety protocols, including Lockout/Tag out (LOTO), and actively support EHS programs. Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, SOPs, LOTO, permit-to-work, and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability, OEE, and maintenance efficiency. Ensure availability of critical spares and intimate concerned personnel well in advance to enable timely procurement.
