Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant (Controls) to join our Finance team in Udaipur, India. In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department by assisting with financial controls, record-keeping, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial documentation and processes.

• Assist in the preparation, review, and reconciliation of financial records and statements
• Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and compliance procedures
• Process and verify financial transactions, invoices, and supporting documentation
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records using designated systems and software
• Perform data entry and verification tasks with precision and efficiency
• Prepare routine financial reports and statements under supervision
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in the documentation and testing of control procedures
• Identify and escalate potential control issues or irregularities to senior staff
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  
  

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Solid understanding of financial controls and internal audit procedures
• Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable processes
• Familiarity with reconciliation procedures and processes
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role
• Preferred: Experience with financial control testing and documentation
• Preferred: Familiarity with ERP systems and their accounting modules
