Software Engineer - Intermediate

What You’ll Do

• Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environments, and technical documentation.
• Develop and operate high-scale backend microservices, focusing on operational excellence, security, and scalability.
• Apply modern software development practices including serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Work across teams to integrate systems with internal platforms (such as the Equifax Data Fabric and CSA Toolset—on-the-job training provided).
• Participate in the estimation process, use-case specifications, requirements gathering, and agile sprint planning; lead efforts for specific Sprint deliverables.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system performance issues across network and service operations.
• Document code and processes comprehensively to ensure seamless team collaboration and minimal onboarding effort for peers.
  
  

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience working with software design and Java
• 2+ years experience working with microservices and Spring Boot
• Experience working with testing framework like JUnit
• Experience working with mocking frameworks like Mockito
• 1+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP(Preferred)/ AWS/Azure
• 1+ years experience with software build management tools like Jenkins and Maven
  
  

• Experience working with AI coding assistants (e.g., Gemini, GitHub Copilot)
• GCP Services and Reactive Programming
• Self-starter that identifies/responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision
• Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Github) and build tools like Maven & Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Monitoring Tools like DataDog
• Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)
• Relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)
• Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Github)
