Who We Are

Palm Point Behavioral Health (affiliated with Universal Health Services) is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital is located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. Palm Point Behavioral Health is looking for a Part Time Infection Control Professional. The Infection Control Professional is responsible for the facility Infection Control Plan, coordinating the activites related to the health of staff such as PPD, Hep B and other immunications/tests; Ensures the education of infectious disease prevention; Tracks and monitors reported infection; Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to infection prevention; Acts as liaison with Department of Health officials.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Health/related field or valid Florida RN or LPN license
• 2 - 3 years of infection control nursing experience in an in-patient setting preferred
• BLS; APIC certification (or actively working towards the certification)
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
