Job Description
The Deputy Manager in the NPD department is pivotal in steering the New Product Development initiatives within the Domestic Business category. This role demands a strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate consumer insights with market trends to identify lucrative product opportunities. The incumbent will collaborate closely with design, sourcing, merchandising, quality, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure the delivery of products that are not only commercially viable but also align with the overarching business strategy. A key aspect of this role is to drive innovation by leading product ideation workshops and managing the stage-gate development process. The Deputy Manager will also be responsible for monitoring project milestones, ensuring timely sample development, and facilitating successful product commercialization. Additionally, the role involves conducting thorough market and competitive analyses to support product costing and profitability. The ideal candidate will champion process automation and continuous improvement initiatives, while also mentoring team members and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
