Description

This role will enable a single holistic approach across SAM including;

  • More automated and integrated model linked with financial data
  • Operational cost savings possible in 2024 with delivery of a consolidated approach across all SAM elements
  • More effective approach to software asset management likely to identify savings be better prepared for audits with enhanced visibility into software utilization.
  • SAM integrated with services enables improved self-service and automated service experience for customers
  • A consolidated strategy across all SAM elements that support WTW strategy
  • Centrally provisioning and request fulfilment across WTW for approved & unapproved software suppliers
  • Effective management of SaaS provider demand that aligns with WTW strategy.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for combined software asset management processes
  • Responsible for continual enhancements to framework for all enterprise technology software
  • Integrates existing software asset management processes to provide a single, efficient model through which WTW manages and maintains software providers.
  • Drives improvements to SAM to integrate and align with financial data
  • Ensures that partnership is formed with all key stakeholders and that all requirements for the SAM model are managed appropriately
  • Drives more automated and integrated solutions across SAM
  • Establishes a set of performance measures for the SAM framework

Qualifications

Education:

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Certifications

  • While not always mandatory, certifications can significantly enhance your candidacy. Consider pursuing certifications such as:
    • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
    • IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications, especially ITIL Foundation.
Experience

  • Relevant work experience in software asset management, IT procurement, or a related field is typically required. The exact years of experience may vary based on the seniority of the role.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and agreements.
  • Knowledge of IT procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with software asset management tools and technologies.
  • Analytical skills to assess software usage and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of legal and compliance aspects related to software licensing.

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing software inventories.
  • Strategic thinking to align software asset management with broader business goals.
  • Collaboration and teamwork for working with various departments and stakeholders.
