Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Temple Hills, Maryland. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of transactions. Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking income and expenses.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Verify and process invoices, ensuring timely payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support financial decision-making.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.
