About the job: As the Team Lead, SEO Services at Vendasta, you will lead the strategic direction, optimization, and execution of search engine initiatives across our core Website & SEO offerings. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will combine deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to scale client success. Your mission is to elevate our SEO delivery, empower a team of specialists, streamline operational workflows, and integrate AI technologies to maintain industry leadership.

Your Impact:

• Lead and execute sophisticated SEO strategies to drive measurable improvements in organic rankings and client visibility.
• Conduct detailed SEO audits and site performance analyses, leveraging AI tools to identify and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities.
• Drive team adoption of AI-enhanced tools and workflows to automate repetitive tasks, refine data-driven decision-making, and scale client outcomes.
• Coach, mentor, and manage a team of SEO professionals, setting clear goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Establish and uphold organizational SEO standards, ensuring seamless cross-functional integration with content strategy, UX, and technical development pipelines.
• Champion experimentation through A/B testing, predictive modeling, and AI-driven competitor intelligence to optimize tactics.
• Oversee scalable off-page SEO strategies, including AI-enhanced link analysis and backlink acquisition techniques.
• Monitor algorithm shifts and SEO advancements, providing strategic insights and executive recommendations based on AI-augmented data interpretations.
• Track and maintain core operational KPIs, ensuring 95%+ of client projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with technical standards (Core Web Vitals, crawlability).
• Build strategic external partnerships and integrate emerging platforms that continuously enhance internal SEO capabilities and innovation.

What you bring to the table:
- Expert-level mastery of advanced SEO principles, technical optimization, and data-driven organic strategies. 
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing SEO teams. 
- Deep fluency with industry SEO platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, SERanking) alongside CMS environments. 
- Demonstrated experience embedding AI tools into operational workflows for keyword clustering, content optimization, and predictive analysis. 
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating complex metrics into clear, actionable business strategies.

- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to effectively advocate for SEO initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. 
- A proactive, continuous-improvement mindset focused on workflow automation, process efficiency, and team capability growth. 
- 3–5+ years of dedicated SEO experience, including active leadership in a dynamic, client-facing environment. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline preferred.
