Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect to lead the architecture and solutioning of complex enterprise AI & Data use cases on Microsoft Azure, with Microsoft Fabric as the core analytics platform.

This role is designed for a hands-on, deeply technical architect who can operate across presales, solution design, and delivery guidance, and who excels at translating business problems into scalable, production-grade AI & Data architectures. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Data Product architecture and implementation, enterprise data modeling, and the design of scalable, business-aligned data platforms that enable analytics, AI, and self-service consumption.

The Solution Architect will play a critical role in client engagements, presales motions, and large-scale transformation programs, shaping platform strategies and defining end-to-end architectures that solve real-world business problems.

What You’ll Do

1. Solution Complex AI & Data Problems for Enterprise Clients

• Engage with senior business, data, and technology stakeholders to understand complex AI & Data requirements
• Lead solution discovery and architecture definition for ambiguous, high-impact problem statements
• Translate business objectives into clear, executable AI & Data platform architectures
• Own architectural outcomes from problem definition through design sign-off

2. Architect End-to-End Microsoft Fabric & Azure Platforms

• Design enterprise-scale architectures using:
• Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Power BI)
• Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion and orchestration
• Azure Synapse, Spark, and Notebooks
• Define enterprise data platform patterns, including:
• Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers
• Data modeling and semantic layer design for analytics and BI

• Define and implement Data Product architectures aligned to business domains, ensuring clear ownership, discoverability, governance, quality, and reusable consumption patterns.
•  Lead enterprise data modeling initiatives, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, supporting analytics, reporting, AI, and cross-domain integration requirements.
• Design domain-oriented Data Products using Microsoft Fabric, enabling scalable self-service analytics, governed data sharing, and business value realization.

• Ensure architectures meet scalability, performance, reliability, cost, and security requirements
• Align solutions with enterprise cloud, data governance, and compliance standards

3. Enable AI, Advanced Analytics & GenAI Use Cases

• Architect AI-enabled analytics platforms using:
• Azure AI Services
• Azure OpenAI / GenAI capabilities
• Design architectures that support:
• Intelligent insights and advanced analytics
• AI-augmented BI and decision-support systems
• Responsible and secure GenAI adoption
• Balance key trade-offs across cost, latency, security, and scalability

4. Presales, Solution Shaping & Client Advisory

• Lead and contribute to presales and solution-shaping activities, including:
• Client discovery and architecture workshops
• End-to-end solution design and approach definition
• RFP / proposal responses and technical storytelling
• Architecture reviews and estimations
• Partner with sales and leadership teams to:
• Define differentiated Microsoft Fabric–based solutions
• Clearly articulate solution value, architecture, and trade-offs
• Act as a trusted AI & Data architecture advisor during early-stage client conversations

5. Guide Delivery & Architecture Governance

• Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to:
• Validate architecture feasibility
• Guide key implementation and design decisions
• Review complex components and integration patterns
• Ensure architecture consistency across build, deployment, and production
• Support operational readiness, observability, and support considerations

6. Define Reusable Architecture Assets & Best Practices

• Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, and reusable design patterns
• Codify best practices for:
• Enterprise Microsoft Fabric adoption
• AI & Data platform modernization
• Scalable analytics and BI architectures
• Contribute to EY GDS architecture standards and IP

Core Requirements

Experience

• 15+ years of experience in data platforms, analytics architecture, or cloud solutions
• Strong background in Microsoft Azure–based data and analytics architectures
• Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale AI & Data platforms

• Proven experience defining and implementing enterprise Data Products and domain-driven data architectures in large-scale data transformation programs

•  Strong experience Data modelling including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, supporting analytics, reporting, AI, and cross-domain integration requirements

• Experience working in consulting and client-facing environments
• Strong presales and solution-shaping experience (mandatory)

Technical Expertise – Microsoft Fabric & Azure

• Deep expertise in:
• Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Power BI)
• Azure Data Factory (ETL / ELT architecture)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Spark and Notebooks
• Strong understanding of:
• Enterprise Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)
• Dimensional Modelling and analytical data structures
• Semantic Layer design and BI architecture
• Data Product architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management
• Enterprise data governance and platform design
• Hands-on experience with:
• SQL, PySpark, Python
• DAX, Power Query

AI, Analytics & GenAI

• Experience designing AI-enabled analytics architectures
• Knowledge of:
• Azure AI services
• Azure OpenAI and GenAI integration patterns
• Ability to embed AI responsibly within enterprise data platforms

Architecture & Consulting Skills

• Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Strong communication and executive-level articulation skills
• Comfortable leading architecture and solution discussions with senior client leadership
• Strong balance of business acumen and technical depth

Added Advantage / Preferred Experience

• Experience working with modern data platforms such as:
• Databricks
• Snowflake
• Ability to compare, position, and architect multi-platform data strategies
• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud analytics environments
• Experience in large-scale data modernization or AI transformation programs

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a pure hands-on development role
• Not a delivery or program management role
• Not limited to BI reporting or tool configuration
• Primary ownership is architecture and solutioning, not day-to-day coding
