Audit Senior

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Auditor to join our audit team at Auzin Advisory Private Limited. The role requires strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards (ASA) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), as well as practical experience in managing audit engagements from planning to final reporting. The Senior Auditor will coordinate with onshore teams in Australia and manage a team of junior auditors in India to deliver high-quality audit services.

• Responsibilities
• Audit Execution
• Lead the end-to-end audit process for Australian clients: planning, fieldwork, and finalisation.
• Perform risk assessments, internal control testing, and substantive procedures.
• Review client financials and ensure compliance with ASA, AASB, and IFRS.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers and ensure they meet firm and regulatory standards.
• Team Management
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors in India.
• Review their work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Provide regular feedback and support their professional development.
• Client Coordination
• Serve as a point of contact for onshore audit managers/partners in Australia.
• Participate in audit planning meetings and status calls.
• Communicate issues, delays, or findings proactively.
• Quality and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to internal quality assurance procedures and ethical standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for review and inspection.
• Stay updated on changes in Australian auditing and accounting standards.
• Reporting
• Draft and review audit reports and management letters.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all client deliverables.
• Assist in preparing summaries and analyses for presentation to clients.
• Software & Tools
• Use audit tools such as CaseWare, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or cloud-based platforms.
• Leverage data analytics tools (e.g., IDEA, Excel, Power BI) to enhance audit quality.
  

• Skills & Experience

• Qualified CA, CPA (Australia) or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of audit experience, with at least 1–2 years in Australian audit (BPO/KPO preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Xero, MYOB, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of ASA, AASB, IFRS, and Australian regulatory landscape.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in global teams or with international clients is a plus.
