In this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end production planning activities within the plant by coordinating closely with customer teams, procurement, production, and stores to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and uninterrupted customer deliveries. You will need to deliver leveled production plans, achieve zero downtime due to material shortages, improve production plan accuracy, and ensure 100% production adherence.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

  • Developing, maintaining, and updating daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, including Master Production Schedules (MPS), based on customer demand and forecasts.
  • Leading end-to-end production planning activities, including long-term and short-term planning and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
  • Coordinating with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and maintain optimum inventory levels.
  • Assessing and optimizing production line capacity and resource availability to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Tracking production progress, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitoring production performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting workflows to address material shortages, capacity constraints, or equipment downtime.
  • Preparing and presenting production status reports, performance metrics, and risk assessments to management.
  • Validating line-wise production volumes against available capacity for short-term (N+3 Months) and long-term (12 Months) planning horizons.
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Management teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met without line stoppages resulting from material shortages.

If You Have/are

  • 8-10 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, PPC, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE) or equivalent qualification from any discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Scheduling processes.
  • Experience in Demand Forecasting and Production Analysis.
  • Expertise in Capacity Planning and Resource Management.
  • Sound knowledge of Inventory Management and Material Planning.
  • Understanding of Just-In-Time (JIT) concepts and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English, Kannada, and Hindi.
