About Team
The GDC plays a critical role in supporting Temenos’ mission to deliver industry-leading banking software solutions by optimizing the implementation process for our customers. This team is a key part of the Temenos Services organization, responsible for driving efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in (primarily) global Temenos Transact implementations.
The GDC consists of a talented, diverse team of consultants and engineers who specialize in Temenos software. These personnel deliver a host of well-defined GDC Engineering Services which can broadly be classified into two main streams, Development Services and Technical Services.
The engineering services delivered by the GDC are well defined, with properly structured estimation models, entry/exit criteria and testing/quality assurance processes Manager for the GDC team.
The PDM is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of GDC engineering services and/or solutions as needed by clients. The PDM bridges project management, client engagement, and operational execution, ensuring that all aspects of a GDC engagement align with business goals and client expectations.
Responsibilities
Project/Program Management:
Lead teams of diversly skilled GDC personnel through parallelly executed GDC Engineering delivery engagements.
Understand the defined scope of each engagement to structure proper project plans adhering to engagement goals and agreed timeframes as applicable.
Work with the GDC resource management team to ensure that each engagement has the necessary personnel with the right skills to deliver a successful engagement.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that motivates the team through difficult situations.
Ensure that scope creeps are controlled and accounted through change management processes, schedule and effort variances are to be kept to bare minimum at all times.
Progress Tracking And Reporting
Prepare weekly status report to provide accurate current status snapshots to all stakeholders for each GDC engagement.
Ensure that project challenges and risks are properly documented and monitored from the start.
Raise timely escalations when needed to unblock critical situations to the correct stakeholders internally and externally.
Ensure all information needed to handle inward escalations are collated and made readily available.
Demand Monitoring And Forecasting
A PDM must work with regional services teams to create pipeline / forecast and manage demands effectively.
Requests to the GDC for delivery of engineering services are properly captured and communicated to the Demand Management function.
Projects in pipeline status must be properly accounted for in the bi-weekly demand review and management discussions to ensure proper staffing levels.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Must use lessons learnt from ongoing engagements to identify opportunities for the continuous improvement function of the GDC to improve process/methodologies/productivity.
Contribute to GDC Strategic Initiatives to build new Engineering Services for the GDC catalog.
Contribute inputs to help eliminate inefficiencies by implementing robust methodologies, processes, and tools that accelerate project timelines and increase overall productivity.
Customer Engagement & Quality Assurance
Ensure that GDC engineering services are delivered with the highest quality standards of quality, while ensuring no schedule or effort variances during execution/delivery.
Ensure that GDC deliveries align with customer needs and expectations, this will help foster client trust and build referenceable relationships.
Collaboration
Ensure a conducive environment for GDC personnel on engagements to promote productivity and improve delivery efficiency.
Work closely with Regional onshore Temenos Services project managers, and consultants, to continuously align GDC delivery and overall project delivery.
Build and maintain good working relationships with Product team stakeholders for efficient coordination and effective communication to deliver solutions to clients.
Facilitate a feedback loop from the GDC to the product team and vice versa based on lessons learned through ongoing engagements.
Conduct GDC outreach programs periodically to ensure that regional services are made aware of GDC delivery capabilities that they can leverage to maximize efficiency.
Experience
Minimum of 12 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or software implementation roles, at least 5 of which are in a project management role
Strong background in the financial services or banking software industry, preferably with hands-on experience with Temenos Transact or similar enterprise software solutions.
Proven experience leading offshore and near-shore teams, particularly in driving timebound deliveries in challenging programs.
Strong delivery background, preferably gained in a project management role for a consulting or engineering organization
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse, distributed teams.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities to anticipate challenges and deliver solutions.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
The person should have good knowledge on MS Project and should hold an industry standard PM certification (PMP/CPD/Agile).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
A Masters degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
Personal Attributes
