Job Description

Oakridge International School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fashion Studies Teacher to deliver the CBSE Fashion Studies curriculum at the secondary and senior secondary levels. The role integrates strong subject expertise with the Embrace US framework, which reflects Oakridge’s commitment to global educational practices, student-centered learning, and future-ready skill development.

The successful candidate will inspire students to explore fashion through design, textiles, sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship, while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and ethical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Planning & Instruction

• Plan, design, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CBSE Fashion Studies syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Implement student-centered, inquiry-based, and project-based learning approaches in line with the Embrace US framework.
• Integrate interdisciplinary connections with art, business, sustainability, and technology.
  
  

Assessment & Student Progress

• Design formative and summative assessments aligned with CBSE board guidelines.
• Evaluate student work, including design projects and portfolios, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Use assessment data to personalize instruction and support student growth.
  
  

Learning Environment & Resources

• Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom/studio environment.
• Guide students in the effective and responsible use of tools, materials, and digital design resources.
  
  

Student Engagement & Development

• Mentor students in portfolio development, exhibitions, fashion shows, and competitions.
• Encourage creativity, innovation, and confidence in student work and presentations.
  
  

Professional Collaboration
