Core Purpose Of The Role

The Specialist-Laboratory Operations will ensure Capex and Opex management, smooth coordination of PR/reservations, Lab equipment issues, Instrument maintenance, Infra medication support, risk assessment, and manage day-to-day lab operations to support business goals. The role requires maintaining operational excellence in compliance with safety, quality, and data integrity standards while fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability. The incumbent will lead cross-functional initiatives and support strategic projects to meet organizational objectives.

Role Accountabilities

• Capex and Opex Management
• Plan and manage CAPEX (IT/Non-IT) procurement, installation, and maintenance.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of equipment and monitor Opex inventory to ensure availability.
• PR/Reservation Coordination
• PR generation and reservation processes to meet operational timelines.
• Day-to-Day Operations
• Laboratory requirements and conduct regular Gemba walks to identify and address operational pain points.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• SQDECC & Quality Monitoring
• Manage SQDECC boards and execute improvement initiatives like Why-Why analysis and Kaizen.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive operational efficiency through KPI monitoring.
• Safety, Compliance, and Data Integrity
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain data integrity across lab operations.
• Conduct audits and resolve observations related to safety, quality, and operational processes.
• Licenses and Agreements
• Manage IT/Non-IT licenses and agreements, ensuring timely renewal, payments, and recovery.
• Strategic Support & Leadership
• Support for the strategic initiatives, audits, and client visits while ensuring business continuity (BCP) and risk management.
• Lab Essentials Management
• Ensure lab operations, including LN2 supply, CO2 management, temperature recording, fumigation, and smart data retrieval systems.
• Quality, Compliance & Documentation:
• Support for EDMS, TrackWise, deviations, CAPAs, SOP creation/revisions, risk assessments, URS preparation and regulatory/compliance reporting.
