Key job responsibilities

A Sr. Software Dev Eng creates simple solutions across the organization. You will have the opportunity to architect a scalable solution. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior SDEs and contribute to design the next evolution of our services.

As a senior technical leader on this team, you will:

• Design and develop scalable, highly available software systems that power our next-generation GenAI customer experiences
• Drive architectural decisions that impact multiple teams and establish technical direction for the broader organization
• Collaborate with product and business teams to translate ambitious visions into innovative technical solutions
• Mentor engineers across teams while raising the technical bar throughout the organization
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges that cross traditional team boundaries
• Develop technical strategies aligned with long-term business goals and customer needs
• Build relationships with key stakeholders across the company to drive adoption of new technologies
  
  

About The Team

We intersect into a really fun space, working with both our traditional Retail systems, Rufus and Alexa. Our goal is to provide real time package information to our customers and help them understand when to expect their packages.

My teams tackle a complex, cross-organizational initiative that will fundamentally reshape how we approach GenAI applications for our customers. This isnt just another feature development project—it requires technical leadership that spans multiple teams and influences architectural decisions across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
