BCA Technical Liaison Officer

Purpose

• Thales Aerospace Communications (AEC) is actively developing avionics proposition towards Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA).
• AEC R&D teams mainly located in Europe and South Africa, needing permanent technical relay close to BCA teams.
• Technical perimeter encompasses AEC avionics activities; Connectivity, SATCOM, Audio Radio Management, Lighting (ext.) and antennas.
• The technical Liaison Officerwill incarnate BCA voice from a technical stand point during bid phases, Products roadmaps and R&T, targeting both RFI/RFP for avionics and Boeing future cleansheet Aircraft.

Mission

• Identify BCA expectations for its future Aircraft towards AEC avionics activities, as well as for AEC’s product strategy on existing BCA programs (737 Max, 777X, 787, KC 46).
• Promote AEC solutions and Products.
• Analyse AEC technical proposals and roadmaps from BCA standpoint.
• Identify Key BCA technical contacts and organize contact plan with AEC teams.
• Perform day-to-day liaison tasks between BCA’s and AEC’s engineering teams.

Skills, Qualifications en Experience

• Avionics R&D, including certification standards, ARP & Dos.
• Aviation Communications, Radio, Audio Radio Management, appreciated.
• Significant experience in Avionics development with or within BCA (> 5 years).
• Significant experience in Avionics development (>= 10 years).
