Logistics Officer

BASIC FUNCTION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, issue of materials to ensure availability of materials as per the order.
• Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation to update daily reports.
• To avoid production stoppages, issuance of raw materials /finished goods / packing /maintenance material to all department on timely basis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Operational Excellence standards and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring physical stock is in line with the inventory management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded.
• To fulfil requirement  of internal or external customer on time, supervise warehouse staff and daily activities.
• To be supportive with colleagues, department and management based on requirement.
• To deliver material on time, evaluate stock transfer plan on daily basis.
• Coordinate transportation for stock transfer shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements.
• Maintain Daily stock transfer record with full of detail and keeps internal/external customers informed on the movement details.
• To avoid increase in ageing inventory, ensure FIFO process is followed while picking the materials.
• To ensure on time payment, process transporter bills on time and maintain the tracking.
• Responsibility of good housekeeping  at warehouse & removal of unwanted materials from work place and maintain 5S.
• Recording data as per audit requirements of ISO : 9001 : 2015, IATF 16949 : 2016, EMS 14001 : 2015 and MIS reporting (daily, weekly and monthly).

EDUCATION

Graduate in any discipline or above from reputed college or university.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse and dispatch activities.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES/ BEHAVIOURS/ SKILLS

1. Self- motivated, having patience, good team work, strong sense of responsibility and willing to work under pressure.
2. Good negotiation & communication skills.
3. Good command of MS office, experience of SAP Or ERP
4. Good written and oral communication in Hindi & English, Gujarati is preferable.
