Electrical Designer

Job Description

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Electrical Designer to join our dedicated team at our office in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad locations.

• Works with assigned design engineers and other drafters to execute design drawings and specifications as required to support assigned projects
• Prepare substation layout drawing indicating the location of all electrical panels, guided by the Engineer or as per vendors drawing
• Prepare single line diagrams for HT & LT Power Distribution, MCC SLD, Lighting & Small Power DBs SLDs
• Familiar with clearance requirements between equipment’s & around the equipment as per the statutory regulations
• Prepare layout drawings such as Lighting Layouts, Power Layouts, cable tray layouts, earthing layout, and Lightning Protection Layout drawings based on the equipment layout drawing
• Prepare Street Lighting, Site Earthing Layouts
• Prepare Coordination drawings with Other MEP Services in CAD & Revit
• Prepare a civil scope drawing indicating foundation requirements, trench requirements, and panel supporting arrangement based on the equipment vendor drawing
• Prepare cable schedule & also should be able to calculate cable length
• Lighting design & calculation, including circuit numbering
• Prepare bill of materials/ Take off quantities for various electrical items as per the layout drawings
• Works with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion
• Routinely archives and retrieves data from the electronic database for support of work
• Ensures acceptable levels of quality and checks for coordination of work to assure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 6-8 Years.
• Software Skill: AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word & MS Excel, Dia lux.
