Job Purpose

The Plant Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations within the plant, focusing on the efficient movement and storage of materials, components, and finished products. This role involves coordinating with production, procurement, and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinated with plant teams to support assembly line setup, ensuring efficient layout design, process flow optimization, and standardization of operations.
• Applied strong knowledge of process mapping and PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to streamline material flow and improve operational efficiency.
• Managed manpower planning, along with equipment installation and commissioning activities within warehouse operations.
• Collaborated cross-functionally with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve material handling issues.
• Monitored plant logistics performance using key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Led facility and resource planning initiatives, including RFQ execution and CAPEX planning for new projects.
• Supported the implementation of new logistics processes and technologies to improve workflow efficiency, especially during expansion phases.
  

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field OR Preferably MBA.
• At least 15 -20 years of experience in plant logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
