Job Purpose

The Capex & Services Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services within the Capex & Services function.

To lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial management of Capex and Services for a new plant (greenfield project), ensuring price finalization with cost competitiveness, seamless contract execution, and timely issuance of purchase orders in alignment with project timelines.

This role will drive strategic procurement, vendor development, and effective pricing frameworks to enable efficient plant setup and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Capex Procurement (Greenfield Setup):

• Lead Sourcing and commercial finalization of all capital investments for plant setup:
• Civil construction, PEB, interiors, electrical, firefighting, and utilities
• Plant machinery, assembly line equipment, and special purpose machines
• Material handling systems (forklifts, racks, trolleys, cranes, etc.)
• Quality lab and testing equipment
• IT infrastructure, office equipment, and furniture
  

Services & Contracts (Pre- And Post-Commissioning)

• Finalize and manage service contracts for Construction services and project-related manpower , Facility management, security, and housekeeping
  
  

Vendor Development & Management

Governance & Process Excellence

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Experience Required

• Education: Engineering (Mechanical/Civil) + MBA (Preferred)
• Experience: 15–20+ years in Indirect Purchasing, with strong exposure to Capex sourcing and greenfield projects
• Strong expertise in tendering, contracts, commercial negotiations, and cost analysis
