Job Description

About the role- https://highadvocacy.com/

HighAdvocacy is hiring its first marketing person. Your job is to take our website from where it is today to 10,000+ qualified monthly visitors in the next six months.

Youll get there through earned channels: blog posts that rank on Google, a real LinkedIn cadence on the company page and on the founders personal one, Reddit and X threads where our buyers hang out, and one or two channels youll find by testing a handful.

For the first 60 days, Piyush (our co-founder) works alongside you. Hell review drafts, help you build a point of view, and give real feedback. After that, you start making the channel calls. By month six, youre the marketing brain of the company and Piyush is reviewing your decisions, not making them.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Ahmedabad. You report directly to Piyush. Theres no agency next to you, no senior marketer above you, and no playbook on a shared drive. The brand voice on the internet six months from now will largely be the one you ship.

What youll actually be doing

Your weekly rhythm looks like this:

  • Write 2–4 blog posts a week for HighAdvocacy.com. Useful enough to rank on Google, honest enough to share.
  • Run a 5x/week LinkedIn cadence on the company page. Collaborate with Piyush on posts from his personal profile.
  • Find 15–20 conversations a week on Reddit, X, and LinkedIn where our ICP is asking real questions. Reply like a human, not a brand account.
  • Live inside Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Plausible. Use them to debug whats working, not to confirm what you already believe.
  • Test one new channel every month: a newsletter swap, a podcast appearance, a community partnership. Be honest about whether its worth continuing.
  • Ship a short dashboard every Friday. What went out, what moved, what youre trying next.
  • Build a small library of templates, post formats, and frameworks the next hire can pick up.

What success looks like

Well measure progress against these checkpoints together:

First 30 days — 4 blog posts shipped, a LinkedIn cadence running 5x/week, and 15+ thoughtful Reddit or X comments out in the wild.

First 90 days — Youve tested SEO, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, and one community channel. You bring a written recommendation on which 1–2 channels deserve 70% of your time, defended in a Friday review.

3 months — 5,000 qualified monthly visitors. At least one channel running on autopilot, without Piyush reviewing every piece of output.

6 months — 10,000 qualified monthly visitors. Compounding output across two channels. Youre making channel-level decisions with light founder review.

How we think about AI in this role

We expect you to use AI every day. The difference we care about is using it as leverage versus using it as a crutch.

Heres how we actually use these tools:

Claude or ChatGPT — Drafting blog outlines, ideating angles, rewriting weak sections, testing your thinking, summarizing competitor content.

Perplexity — Fast research, finding sources and statistics, sanity-checking claims before publishing.

Ahrefs AI features — Keyword clustering, content gap analysis, surfacing backlink prospects.

AI for repurposing — Turning one blog into a LinkedIn post, an X thread, and a Reddit reply, without making them sound like the same recycled paragraph.

Pattern analysis — Pulling apart top-performing posts in our space and figuring out whats actually working.

Cursor or v0 (bonus) — Spinning up small landing page experiments without waiting on a designer.

What we dont want: AI-generated final copy anyone can spot in three seconds. Your taste and voice ship the final draft. AI gets you to about 60% of the work, faster. The last 40%, the part that makes it sound human, is on you.

Who were hoping applies

The best signal for this role isnt years of experience or a degree. Its whether you live on the internet and pay attention to how things land.

This role is probably right for you if a few of these are true:

  • Youve drafted a LinkedIn post or a tweet in your head while showering.
  • You can name 5 people you follow on X and explain why for each.
  • You read the comments under good LinkedIn posts to figure out why they worked.
  • Youd rather ship 50 honest LinkedIn posts than 1 polished case study that took a month to approve.
  • You think most B2B SaaS marketing reads like the same paragraph copy-pasted across the internet, and you can point at examples.
  • Youve shipped something publicly on your own time: a blog, an X account, a side project, a newsletter. Audience size doesnt matter. The shipping does.
  • You use AI to move faster through the boring parts, not to think for you.

Who probably shouldnt apply

Skip this role if any of these feel true:

  • You need a playbook handed to you before you can start.
  • The first thing on your resume is "HubSpot Certified" or a marketing degree.
  • You havent shipped anything publicly outside a job you were paid for.
  • You find Ahrefs intimidating and dont want to learn it.
  • Youre hoping someone else (an agency, a senior, the founder) does the work and you review it.

What were not asking for

None of these are required. Dont filter yourself out if you dont have them:

  • Prior B2B SaaS experience. Youll pick up the context in two weeks.
  • SEO certifications. Ahrefs and a few good blogs will teach you more in a month.
  • Paid ads experience. Out of scope for this role.
  • Video or design skills. Not what we need here.
  • HubSpot, Marketo, or any specific automation tool. We dont use them.
  • An MBA or a marketing degree. Irrelevant at this level.

Logistics

  • Experience: 1–2 years of marketing at a startup or agency.
  • Location: Full-time, in-office, Ahmedabad.
  • Reports to: Piyush, Co-founder.
  • Compensation: Based on your experience and portfolio. Well be straight about ranges on the first call.
  • Bonus: A personal blog or newsletter, an active X profile (any size), B2B SaaS exposure, or light video skills.
Salary: 500000 - 1000000 INR Per annum
