Chief Procurement officer

Our client is a diversified Saudi group with significant procurement spend across operations, projects, and services. Procurement is being repositioned as a strategic value-driving function.

The Role

The Chief Procurement Officer will lead group-wide procurement strategy, governance, and sourcing excellence. This role will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract standardisation. A key mandate will be improving cost visibility, risk management, and supplier performance. The CPO will work closely with finance, operations, and legal teams. This role will also support ESG and local content initiatives. The position carries board-level visibility and influence.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must have senior procurement leadership experience within large, complex organisations. Strong exposure to governance, sourcing strategy, and supplier negotiations is essential. Experience in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong commercial judgment, leadership maturity, and stakeholder influence. Professional procurement qualifications are advantageous.
