About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-stack NodeJS Development Engineer to join our dynamic product development team. This role involves working closely with our global engineering team to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that support our laboratory informatics platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both backend and frontend development, with a strong understanding of modern web technologies and cloud frameworks. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to building innovative features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring the robustness of our products. Collaboration, technical excellence, and a passion for scientific technology are essential qualities for success in this position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. They should have between 8 to 12 years of professional experience in full-stack development, particularly with the MEAN (Mongo-Express-Angular-NodeJS) or MERN (Mongo-Express-React-NodeJS) stack. Proven expertise in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, is highly desirable. Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Travis, as well as experience with unit testing frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, or Cucumber, is essential. The candidate should have a solid understanding of agile software development methodologies and lifecycle processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software components in line with the overall product architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Create backend services using Node.js and related technologies, and develop user interfaces and dashboards utilizing Angular and React frameworks.
• Develop and implement test harnesses and unit-level test code to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Mentor and collaborate with peer development team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Work alongside automation engineers, UX designers, and system architects to deliver integrated product solutions.
• Assist test engineers in identifying test scenarios and developing automation strategies to streamline testing processes.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
