Role Summary

A reputed 5-Star Luxury Resort at Ramnagar, Uttarakhand is looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accounts Officer to manage the accounting and financial operations of the property.

The candidate must have prior experience working in the hospitality industry, specifically in Hotels / Resorts, and should have strong practical knowledge of GST, taxation, TDS, auditing, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, coordinating with auditors and management, and supporting the smooth functioning of the resorts finance and accounts department.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the resort.
  
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
  
• Ensure proper accounting and documentation of all financial transactions.
  
• Handle accounts payable and receivable activities.
  
• Perform bank, ledger and account reconciliations.
  
• Monitor expenses, revenues, outstanding payments and receivables.
  
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  

GST, Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Handle GST, TDS, taxation and other statutory compliance activities.
  
• Prepare and review GST-related returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements.
  
• Maintain proper records and documentation for taxation and compliance purposes.
  

Audit & Financial Reporting

• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
  
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports and management reports.
  
• Provide accurate financial information and reports to management.
  
• Support management in financial analysis and accounting-related requirements.
  
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  

Resort Finance Coordination

• Coordinate with various departments of the resort regarding accounting and financial matters.
  
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
  
• Coordinate with management regarding financial reporting and accounting requirements.
  
• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and established accounting procedures.
  

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  
• Prior experience in Hotels & Resorts, Tours and travel, Tele communication, IT, Retail and e-commerce or similar hospitality properties is mandatory.
  
• Candidate must have experience working in Hotels & Resorts, Tours and travel, Tele communication, IT, Retail and e-commerce or similar hospitality properties.
  
• Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Taxation and Audit is mandatory.
  
• Experience in accounting operations of a hotel/resort or luxury hospitality property will be preferred.
  
• Good knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
  
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Ability to independently handle accounting, taxation and compliance-related responsibilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be an experienced Hotel / Resort Accounts professional who understands the specific accounting and financial requirements of the hospitality industry.

Candidates currently or recently working with Hotels & Resorts, Tours and travel, Tele communication, IT, Retail and e-commerce or similar hospitality properties will be preferred.

The candidate should be capable of independently managing day-to-day accounts along with GST, taxation, audit coordination, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Important Joining / Documentation Condition

Candidates who are serving notice with their present organization may also be considered.

However, such candidates will be required to comply with the following condition:

• At the time of the final Face-to-Face interview, the candidate will be required to submit their original 10th and 12th class qualification certificates for verification and safekeeping.
  
• The candidate will sign the Letter of Intent (LOI) at the time of the final Face-to-Face round.
  
• The original qualification certificates will be returned to the candidate on the day of joining the organization.
  
• Candidates who are not comfortable with this documentation requirement may not be considered for the position.
