Hiring General Manager / Plant Head – Premium Furniture Manufacturing

Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

We are looking for an experienced General Manager / Plant Head to lead the operations of a new premium furniture business in Raipur.

2 Lakh Sq. Ft. Manufacturing Facility

1.5 Lakh Sq. Ft. Premium Furniture Showroom

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a professional with a strong track record in high-end furniture manufacturing and fit-out, particularly with leading furniture, interior and fit-out brands.

Plant & Manufacturing Operations

• Take overall responsibility for the 2 lakh sq. ft. manufacturing facility.
• Set up and establish manufacturing systems, processes, SOPs and operational standards.
• Lead production planning, capacity planning and delivery schedules.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, quality and cost optimization.
• Coordinate across production, procurement, stores, quality, design and dispatch.

Multi-Division Manufacturing Experience

The candidate should have strong practical experience across multiple furniture manufacturing divisions:

• Solid Wood Furniture – machining, joinery, assembly and production.
• Sofa & Upholstery – frames, stitching, foam, upholstery and assembly.
• Metal Division – fabrication, welding, machining and finishing.
• Finishing Division – PU, polish, staining, lacquer, paint and premium finishes.
• Final assembly, quality control, packing and dispatch.
  

• Build and lead a strong manufacturing management team.
• Establish department structures, responsibilities and performance KPIs.
• Manage production managers, department heads, supervisors and shop-floor teams.
• Drive manpower planning, productivity and accountability.
• Develop a strong operational culture focused on quality and delivery.
  

• Establish quality standards aligned with premium and high-end furniture.
• Reduce rejection, rework, wastage and production losses.
• Improve production efficiency and manufacturing cost.
• Implement continuous improvement, 5S, Lean and Kaizen practices where relevant.
• Ensure workplace safety and operational discipline.
  

We are looking for a senior professional with:

• 15+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing, fit-out or interior manufacturing.
• Experience working with leading furniture, premium interior or fit-out brands.
• Strong exposure to Solid Wood, Sofa/Upholstery, Metal and Finishing divisions.
• Proven experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations and teams.
• Strong understanding of production planning, costing, quality and supply-chain coordination.
• Experience in setting up, structuring and scaling manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to relocate and be based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
